What the government spent millions of dollar trying to do without much success (getting drug addicts off the street), Teen Challenge has done worldwide with great success. Thanks for a life well spent, Rev. David Wilkerson.

The loss of Rev. David Wilkerson is a big one. The founder of Teen Challenge literally helped tens of thousands of young men get off the streets and off drugs. I remember visiting his church back in 1993, so impressed with the atmosphere of transcendence and reverence.

The fact that there is even a debate whether or not the military should offer "atheist chaplains" just demonstrates the ignorance of pluralistic thinking. Would you want an atheist chaplain counseling you in time of war?

Felipe Assis added to the Acts 29 Brazil National Conference

We've added Felipe Assis, a pastor and church planter from Miami, Florida, to our A29 conference in May.  Felipe is a Brazilian who has planted churches in Recife, Brazil and Miami, Florida, where he currently resides.  Felipe & his church are also a part of the Redeemer & City-to-City network.  More info below.

Felipe Assis is a Brazilian church planter that has spent about a third of his existence (as a toddler, as a child and as an adult) in America. He has earned a Th.B from Seminário Presbiteriano do Norte and an M.Div from RTS – Charlotte. Felipe planted his first church, Igreja Presbiteriana Curado 4 at the age of 18 and has recently come from five years of church planting in Recife – Brazil where he and wife Beth founded Comunidade Memorial. Beth and Felipe are currently in Miami, FL with their two daughters Analisse (6) and Zoe (4) planting Crossbridge church.

Bacharel em Teologia pelo Seminário Presbiteriano do Norte e Mestre em Divindade pelo RTS - Charlotte. A primeira experiência de plantação de igrejas de Felipe foi a Igreja Presbiteriana Curado 4, e recentemente passou cinco anos plantando igrejas em Recife, onde ele e sua esposa Beth fundaram a Comunidade Memorial.
